How to Replace Under Kitchen Cabinet Lighting

1. Gather Your Materials

Before you start, gather all of the necessary materials. You will need:

New under-cabinet lights
Screwdriver
Drill
Wire strippers
Electrical tape

2. Turn Off the Power

For safety, turn off the power to the under-cabinet lighting at the circuit breaker panel.

3. Remove the Old Lights

Use a screwdriver to remove the screws that are holding the old lights in place. Once the screws are removed, carefully pull the lights down. Be careful not to damage the wires.

4. Disconnect the Wires

Use wire strippers to strip about 1/2 inch of insulation from the ends of the wires. Twist the exposed wires together and secure them with electrical tape.

5. Install the New Lights

Position the new lights in place and secure them with screws. Connect the wires from the new lights to the wires from the circuit breaker panel. Twist the wires together and secure them with electrical tape.
