  • Scissors
  • Utility knife
  • Measuring tape
  • Rags
  • Safety glasses
  • Dust mask

Step 2: Remove the Old Laminate

Wear safety glasses and a dust mask while removing the old laminate. Use a utility knife to score along the edges of the laminate, then carefully pry it up using a putty knife or flathead screwdriver. Be careful not to damage the cabinet surface.

Step 3: Clean the Cabinet Surface

Wipe down the cabinet surface with a damp rag to remove any dust or debris. Allow it to dry completely.

Step 4: Apply Contact Cement

Apply a thin layer of contact cement to the cabinet surface and the back of the new laminate. Allow the cement to dry for the specified time indicated on the product label.

Step 5: Align and Place the New Laminate

Carefully align the new laminate with the cabinet surface and press it into place. Use a rolling pin or straight edge to smooth out any bubbles or wrinkles.
