How To Paint Kitchen Doors

Materials Required:

Sandpaper (120-grit, 220-grit)
TSP cleaner
Primer
Paint
Paint brush
Foam roller

Step 1: Remove Doors

Start by removing the kitchen doors from their hinges. Place them on a flat surface, such as a workbench or sawhorses.

Step 2: Clean and Sand

Use TSP cleaner and a clean rag to wipe down the doors. This will remove any dirt or grease that could interfere with the paint. Once the doors are clean, sand them with 120-grit sandpaper to remove any rough edges or imperfections. Follow up with 220-grit sandpaper to smooth the surface.

Step 3: Prime

Apply a coat of primer to the doors. This will help the paint to adhere better and create a more even finish. Allow the primer to dry completely.

Step 4: Paint

Using a paint brush, apply a coat of paint to the doors. Use smooth, even strokes and apply thin coats to avoid drips. Allow the first coat to dry completely before applying a second coat.

Step 5: Finishing

Once the second coat of paint is dry, use a foam roller to apply a clear finish. This will protect the paint from wear and tear and give your kitchen doors a beautiful shine. Allow the finish to dry completely before rehanging the doors.
